Alexandra Tsvetkova, Director of LIBRe Foundation, led a training on personal data protection for healthcare managers, professionals and administrators. The training presents the basic principles for the lawful processing of
personal data, the obligations of the healthcare providers as а
controller/processor of personal data, including the requirements
towards their employees’ activities, the legal, organizational and
technological measures towards compliance with the legal requirements,
the specifics of the public activity of the healthcare providers in the
context of personal data protection, etc. The theoretical statements are supported by numerous examples and discussions with the
participants over their daily activities.
The new responsibilities for data controllers and processors of personal
data, the related challenges in front of the healthcare providers and
their potential solutions following the implementation of Regulation
2016/679 upon May 2018 conclude the training programme.
