The second transnational training event under the JuLIA project was dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) systems in healthcare. The event took place on 18-19 January 2024, in Trento, Italy.
The first part of the training was dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence systems on the patient-doctor relationship and the patients' informed consent, while the second part focused on the upcoming changes introduced by the EU legislation on liability and the application of these measures in the field of telemedicine, wearable devices, robotics, etc.
Sessions alternated between presentations, interdisciplinary discussions, and hands-on sessions (justice labs) aimed at presenting specific applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare and the potential implications for case adjudication.
