Atty. Boyan Ivanov holds a Magister Iuris (LL M) degree in law (2008, University of Ruse, Bulgaria). Atty. Ivanov has over 15 years of legal practice (national/EU levels), 11+ of which specializing solely in the application of IT Law (e-Commerce, e-Government, e-Justice, trust services, etc.). Experience relate to the application of both national and EU law considering material and geographical scope of work. Located in Bulgaria, Boyan contributes mainly to projects and consultancy taking place in South-East Europe; however, a number of his projects also have EU-wide application. Since 2016, a specific focus is placed on the eJustice domain.
Besides the attorney practice (legal analysis of national and EU legislation, legal consultancy, legal representation before administrative and judiciary authorities), Boyan has participated in more than 40 projects at national/international level, including consultancy work for EBRD and OECD. He has also been recognized on national level for his specific expertise and has been invited to contribute to legislative drafting on key IT issues (e-ID, e-Government, e-Justice).
