BAIT Working Group on Industry 4.0: Competencies, Opportunities, Vision

During a meeting on 16 April 2018, the members of the BAIT Working Group on Industry 4.0 discussed the future initiatives of the Association towards enhancing the development of the sector and the Draft Strategy for the Participation of Bulgaria in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) prepared under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy.

The Working Group on Industry 4.0 is formed at the end of February 2018 and aims to:

active participation in EU policies in the field of Industry 4.0;

provision of experts and/or expert advice to government institutions working towards adopting the national policy on Industry 4.0;

coordination of joint activities with other organizations working in the field of Industry 4.0, and participation in topic-related events;

exchange of best practices and knowledge in digital manufacturing,

promoting existing standards for Industry 4.0 implementation;

developing demonstration (pilot) projects for Industry 4.0; and

networking with similar expert groups on EU level.

LIBRe Foundation is part of the Industry 4.0 WG with two of its key experts, being the only organization with legal expertise on the implementation of these technologies. Within the framework of the meeting, Alexandra Tsvetkova, Director of the Foundation, presented the competences and the interests of the organization's team towards the implementation of ethical/legal measures for the future development of Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, (I)IoT, etc. on national level.
