Following the amendments of the Bulgarian Electronic Government Act from 2016 the Governmental Enterprise “Single System Operator” was created.
The enterprise sets to: integrate information systems and electronic administrative services; ensure information security of the software and e-services; manage the shared information resources of e-governance etc. The system also manages a line of functions in service of citizens, businesses, and public bodies.
The Council of Ministers Draft Resolution suggests the structure of the Single System Operator to include 4 directorates and 2 departments. The allocation of functions and actions between the structures is also provided in details.
