Presentation of EASA’s Drone Rules Proposal

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published its proposal (Notice of proposed amendment - NPA) for the operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the open and specific categories on 5th May (NPA 2017-05), and the related impact assessment on 12th May. This proposal has been developed by EASA with the support of an UAS expert group composed of representatives of EU Member States, the Commission and of manned and unmanned communities.

The NPA is open for consultation until 12th August 2017.

In order to receive an initial feedback from stakeholders and in order to facilitate the commenting on the NPA, EASA is organising this presentation.

The presentation will be held on 5 July 2017, from 09:30 until 16:30 at EASA Headquarters in Köln, Germany. You could Watch live stream via YouTube.

If you are interested in the topic of unmanned aircraft, we invite you to get introduced to LIBRe Foundation’s new project: Safe Integration of Unmanned Aircraft in the Airspace: Comparative Approach.

The project aims to provide the public at large and policy makers involved in the development of national framework on unmanned aircraft with information and analysis on the current challenges and tendencies in the field. The analysis will aim to suggest guidelines for safe integration of the unmanned aircraft (UA) in the airspace, taking into account the evolving new markets and services.
