The digital technologies help the business growth and the development of the new products, as well as the reaching of more customers. The European Commission has launched the Digital Opportunity Traineeships initiative in order to help improving students' digital skills and their career prospects as well as to provide companies with digitally competent job candidates.
Digital Opportunity Traineeships will be focused on the fields of cybersecurity, big data, quantum technology and machine learning, or digital marketing in another EU country. These temporary work placements provide students with the chance to develop their skills and to find more exciting career options. The initiative also brings sustainable benefits to businesses attracting more students to careers in ICT-related professions.
The first traineeships will start in June 2018 and interns will receive an allowance of around 500 EUR per month, for an average of five months.
