The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has released for public consultation a Draft Concept for Digitalisation of the Bulgarian Industry (Industry 4.0), as a basis for further development of a Strategy for Bulgarian participation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The purpose of the proposed Concept for Digitalisation of the Bulgarian Industry (Industry 4.0) is to create conditions for modernisation, automatization, and competitive positioning of the Bulgarian economy in short-term and long-term period (2017-2030).
The Concept’s text defines the term Industry 4.0 as “a set of interrelated digital solutions stimulating the development of real-time automatization, integration, and data exchange in the production processes.”

The public consultation is open to all interested parties from the business sector and will continue until 10.08.2017.
