Internet of Things and Protection of Children’s Personal Data and Security Online

Alexandra Tsvetkova, Director of LIBRe Foundation and an expert on legal aspects of information technologies and personal data protection, participated as a guest lecturer during DC Stara Zagora’s Open Doors Day held on 18 April 2018.

Ms. Tsvetkova addressed the students – guests of the event, with the aim to increase their awareness on privacy and personal data protection issues and the importance of the information they share online and who has access to their information. The presentation focused on the modern technologies and the ways connected and smart devices affect children's perceptions and change their daily routine and the routine of their parents and friends. Ms Tsvetkova also presented best practices on how youngsters could adapt their behavior in the electronic space in order to better protect their data and reputation.
