ICT 2018: Imagine Digital – Connect Europe, the biggest European ICT expert conference, was organised in Vienna from 4 to 6 December 2018. More than 6000 people from 120 countries attended the conference and had the opportunity to exchange their experiences and expectations of Europe in the digital age.

ICT 2018 had four main components converging around the theme Imagine Digital – Connect Europe: Conference, Exhibition, Networking opportunities and Innovation and Startups forum. Numerous panels, workshops and a huge exhibition that covered more than 5 000 m² gave the participants to see for real and try out hundreds of innovations from the entire research and start‑up community and discuss the most recent developments in the ICT field.

The conference programme featured 6 plenary sessions on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Next Generation Internet, Digital Skills and High-Performance Computing. Speakers from policy circles, academia, civil society and industry highlighted their perspectives and priorities, and discussed how each can contribute to the successful digital transformation of Europe.

Alexandra Tsvetkova, Director of LIBRe Foundation, participated in the event and represented the organization in networking sessions and workshops.
